1. Insects

I did find him. It was some kind of large insect, hiding somewhere during the day, and roaming along the ceiling at night. Some kind of creature with wings byak-byak-byak at night. Night butterflies are very large.

2. Electrical appliances

In my corner, where the refrigerator is, there was also something actively rustling. At first I thought it was a mouse. Tried to somehow get rid of it from there. Then, it turned out that this old refrigerator makes such sounds when turned on. Moved it a few inches. And all is silence).

Whether in the bathroom, or in the toilet, I began to hear the sounds of dripping water. I was puzzled for a long time: no drops are visible anywhere, but there is sound. And somehow, at another moment of an attack of curiosity, he rummaged with his ear along the walls, like the sound from a ceiling lamp on a thin wall in the bathroom, where there can be no pipes. He pressed the ceiling, and the sound of drops became more frequent, turning into a creak. This ceiling creaked so much from the heating of the lamps.

You go to sleep, after ten minutes crackling. I did not believe in evil spirits, so I slept peacefully. Then I figured it out, the chandelier was cooling down.

We have been listening to strange sounds all summer. It was terrible. It turned out that everything is very simple. These walls are cracking from the temperature difference. During the day they heat up in the heat, and at night they cool down and begin to crack. Now it also happens, but rarely, the sun no longer warms almost.

We had a strange sound in our apartment. A click in the corridor, as if the neighbors had flipped a switch with a swing. Sometimes quiet, sometimes loud. And there was no way to catch him. While you stand in the hallway and wait, he is not there. You leave, and after a while - click! Repairs began in the corridor, and I decided along the way to figure out what it was. I checked through which channels in the panels the sound from the neighbors could go, stuffed rags into them, covered them with construction foam. There is no sense. Then I realized that the sound is not from the neighbors. In the end, it turned out that it was a lamp. It has a stamped metal base, on which a glued wooden rim is glued. When you turn on the light in the corridor, the lamp heats up, when you turn it off and cool down, after a while it makes clicks at some intervals. The tree clicked, as I understand it, and the base resonated. When I came up to listen, the light was on (and why stand in a dark corridor?). He left, turned off the light, and it began. 3 years of suffering. Now silence, the lamp has changed.

My neighbor at the same address, a very religious woman, told me that she was affected by vibration, most likely, this was the work of some special services. Several times a week, after 11 pm, the window in the kitchen began to vibrate in her, at first slightly, then on the rise, then gradually subsided. And so several times with an interval of 7-10 minutes. Sometimes this happened twice with an interval of 2 hours. Some kind of beam or something else was directed at her window. For what, she didn't know. She lived in a 1-room apartment, I'm nearby in a 3-room apartment. My family did not feel any vibrations, extraneous noises. We sympathized with the woman, realizing that a person has problems with nerves.After a while, my mother died, and my father and I moved in exactly the same house, exactly the same apartments, that is, a 3-room apartment and a 1-room apartment next to each other. I was sitting somehow in the kitchen of a 1-room apartment at 10 am, drinking coffee, and suddenly it started, that same vibration! Slowly at first, then more and more. It feels like a helicopter is flying through the window. I look out the window in a panic, but I don’t see anything that looks like a helicopter. And the vibration is growing, the windows are rattling, they are about to fly out, and horror seized me, my legs are wadded, I can’t move. And only the realization that the glass would now crack, fall on me, and cut me down on the Olivier, made me jump off my chair and run out into the corridor. Gradually, the vibration subsided, then subsided. After a while, everything is new again. But the second time I caught something familiar in the duration of the rise in vibration, in the duration of the climax, I don’t know how to explain, but, in general, something familiar. And I rushed into a 3-room apartment. And there my quiet washer rustles, it works almost silently, only from time to time light bursts are heard, which are very pleasant for the ear. I very often washed after 11 at night, she didn’t bother anyone to sleep, I’ll hang up my clothes in the morning, and that’s it. And so I ran from apartment to apartment several times: in the 3-room apartment where she works, you can’t hear her, and in the 1-room apartment, the helicopter and the windows barely hold on. The horror began in the spin mode. That's how the ceilings are made in these houses, that sound spreads like that?! I drove an unfortunate woman to madness at least once a night, and when my mother was paralyzed, there were 2-3 washings! It never occurred to me that with such a quiet machine, this could happen. Now I wash only in the 1st half of the day, suddenly someone else has helicopters flying through the windows. By the way, sometimes I hear washing machines of neighbors. From where, from which floor, I don’t know, but they “sound” very quietly, nothing to do with the nightmare that happened to me.

My girlfriend comes to work in the morning, all out of her mind, angry and not getting enough sleep ... All night long, some kind of rumble did not let her sleep. She built the entire entrance, went to each one with a check, did not sleep for three nights, but still got to the cause of the strange hum! The neighbors (either above or below) had a refrigerator leaning against a pipe. They did a rearrangement and my friend listened to the work of the refrigerator all night. But during the day it was not audible (at 6 o'clock in the morning this disgrace stopped), no one except her heard it. She was already beginning to worry that the entire entrance of the 9-storey building would consider her insane ...

3. Mice

We lived with my mother for 5 months this year. I heard a strange noise at night several times, and my husband too! One night I got up to the children and I heard something scratching. I went into the room where the washer and dryer are, I see the mouse got out! I told my parents, they put mousetraps. In a couple of weeks, 3 pieces came across! It turned out that there was a hole somewhere, dad then patched it up.

4. Birds

Last year, my husband got a new shift job. And for the first time he went out into the night. At 12 o'clock I got ready to go to bed, cut down the telly, turned off the light, and then it began! In the kitchen I hear some kind of incomprehensible noise: either the wall is being hammered, or the ceiling ... And the house is private, except for hooligans, there is no one to hammer. Scary. I don't turn on the light. Under the bed, I remember, the tool is in the box, I take the ax from there, I go to the kitchen. Noise from the ceiling, scary to the point! I didn’t even think about why they were breaking through the roof, because it’s easier to break a window and climb in. Well, there was no fear of any thoughts at all. I hold an axe. “Something” is already breaking in the chimney ... Noise, some strange echo ... And then suddenly “kar! kar!”, some clap and silence. Then it dawned on me that only a crow got into the chimney (out of curiosity, probably), but it had already got out. I laughed and went to sleep.

4. Sounds from the street

Some time ago, sounds were heard in the room at night, as if water was dripping. And the water is nowhere to be seen. After some time, it turned out that this roof began to leak after repair (we live on the top floor). It became noticeable in the spring, when the snow began to melt. In the room, the linoleum on the floor was already swollen, and the wallpaper moved away from the wall along which this same water flowed. During the day, no sound was heard.

My friend also climbed the whole house in search of the source of the noise. In general, you need to go to the roof and look at the wires. In the case of my acquaintance, the wires of an ordinary radio (which is plugged into a socket) went at a stretch to a neighboring house about a hundred meters away. According to him: it buzzed like a string, and it depended on everything - wind, temperature. It probably resonated with passing cars. He called the radio, they loosened the wires. And everything became quiet.

I had this, the constant sound of dripping water. I listened to all the walls. It turned out that the sound is most audible in one of them. They wanted to call a plumber already, since the wall is hollow inside. But it turned out to be trite - the wall transmitted the sound of the neighbors' canopy)))) it was raining on him. That's air conditioning.

I had this in one of the rooms, for several days I racked my brain that it could make noise. And I only heard sounds when I was alone at home. Probably because it's getting quiet. And then I figured it out: the sound was coming from the window. The gate was ajar.One night I woke up from a clear and strange sound in the stairwell. The impression that a heavy bag is being pulled up the stairs. There was an idea to get up and look through the peephole, you never know? Maybe someone is being pulled out of the entrance, and it is necessary to call the cops on fresh tracks. The sound went on for too long, no stairs would be enough, under this sound I fell asleep. I heard it again in the morning. I went to the window in another room and found out that it was the rain that was making such a noise, falling on the new visor of the neighbors.

5. Neighbors

We often woke up at night from someone's hissing. It was terribly scary. In the end, it turned out that the dead of night is the perfect time for a neighbor to vacuum.

I used to live in a very big house. And one night she was alone. I lie down, read, very late. Some sounds, rustles. Then I put out the light, I fall asleep and listen: ding-ding, shork-shork ... I think, wow, how evil spirits are walking in the house. And in the morning it turned out that we were robbed. And not ghosts ran around the house, but thieves!

Sounds are better heard at night. Everyone is asleep, and the creak can be heard even through more than one wall. For example, in our room (and only in this one, there is no such thing in others) there is something like a sound well. For example, I can hear the neighbors upstairs talking on the phone, and very well. But you just can’t hear conversations, you can hardly hear walking, TV, etc. Apparently, in some “good” place there is a telephone, they have a stationary device, besides, it seems, a fax. And when I was younger, my girlfriend's mother (she lived across the wall, but on the 1st floor, and we are on the 3rd!) often wondered where I got the notes of this or that melody that I played on the piano during the day. There is no doubt that she heard exactly me: the “repertoire”, the time of performance, the manner (mostly with one hand), and other subtleties coincided.

Let me tell you what happened in our house recently. There are only 9 apartments in the entrance. Each apartment occupies one and a half floors. Our bedroom is on a level corresponding to half the wall of the room next door. For almost a year, every night we heard strange conversations of people that did not stop for a minute. The words were incomprehensible, but there was such a buzz! And you can hear people speaking. Another neighbor heard it too. Thoughts were running through my head. And I somehow go out onto the terrace-balcony at night and what do I see and hear? At that neighbor who has a hall on half of our wall ... The TV is working at full power, and the light is on in the hall. I go out to the entrance, go to the apartment and call! And she doesn't hear.We wrote a letter to her, because we could not find her. O miracle! For a while, the nightly conversations stopped. After a while again. Then the husband went down to the cellar and turned off the electricity. Our sleep improved, but masters began to run to the neighbor to fix it. When everything turned out, it turned out that this lady was afraid to fall asleep in silence. She turned on the TV and lights at full power and went into the bedroom. She could hear it muffled. And we were tormented by the unknown.

We once had a house in a Ukrainian village in the Vinnitsa region, bought back in the days of the USSR, when the country was one, and it was easier to move around. A typical Ukrainian hut made of clay and horse manure. Unless the thatched roof was changed by grandparents to a slate one. My grandmother and I used to live there all summer, and my grandfather, father and mother came only for a week or two on vacation.

And at the end of June 1996, on my last summer before school, when my grandmother and I lived there alone, at night a knock began to be heard from the corner of the room. Such a rhythmic thud, like a knuckle on strong oak furniture. Three such quiet blows will sound in one and a half to two seconds - and silence for ten seconds. Almost all night.

I won’t say that I was scared then, rather, I was just curious that it could knock like that, because there was simply nothing to knock on. The sound came from the corner, in which there was nothing but a refrigerator, both walls did not go out onto the street, so the option with some branches also disappeared. My grandmother constantly told me that it was the birds knocking on the roof, and I calmed down on this. Although there were still doubts, because the sound did not come from above, but from the corner. But, I repeat, I did not feel fear, and my grandmother's explanation was completely enough for me. After about a week, the knocking stopped. Well, it stopped and stopped, and to hell with it.

Only later, a few years later, when I grew up a little, my grandmother told me that at that time she could not find a place for herself. It was scary as hell. She explored that corner far and wide. Absolutely nothing could knock there, especially so unnaturally rhythmically. It got to the point that she, a terry-hardened materialist of Soviet hardening, asked for help from local attendants, sprinkled holy water on the corner, almost called a priest (the village was Catholic). How it passed my eyes - I have no idea.

And now the most tender, why did this cause such an “unhealthy” reaction in my grandmother: the knocking began exactly on the night my mother died in Moscow. Grandmother was informed as soon as possible, there were no mobile phones then, and the paramedic had only one landline phone for the whole village. I haven't been told anything yet, my father wanted to do it personally, which is why I was "happy in the dark". Here the local grandmothers just said that it was my mother who came to say goodbye, and the room should be consecrated.

What else is interesting. Mom came to us just a couple of weeks before. Her trip was planned for August, but in early June, she took a vacation at her own expense for no reason and broke into us.
