Purpose: formation of a spiritual and moral worldview using the example of a reasonable structure of the Universe Tasks: - to acquaint students with the biblical story of the creation of the world and with modern scientific ideas about the origin of life on Earth - to show that faith and science do not contradict each other

slide 3

“Two subjects fill me with the greatest reverence and amazement: the starry sky above me and conscience, or the moral law, inside me” I. Kant

There is an amazing harmony and expediency in the world around us. All generations of people admire it, study it, and still discover everything new and new. How and where did this wonderful world come from, how does the Universe develop? Is there a key to understanding who we ourselves are in unraveling this mystery?

slide 5

The first Book of the Bible, which is called "Genesis", tells about the creation by God of the universe from water chaos (the abyss). God created the world in six days.

slide 6

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God hovered over the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light. And there was light. 4 And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light day, and the darkness night. And there was evening and there was morning: one day.

The modern scientific cosmological theory is the theory of the expanding Universe. An illustrative model of such an expansion can be the surface of an inflating rubber ball, all points of which move away from each other as the ball expands. The universe has a beginning, and it is limited in time and space.
The Bible states more specifically that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

Slide 8

Having initially a gigantic density and a fantastic temperature, the matter of the Universe began to expand. Protons and neutrons arise, from which the nuclei of the elements of substances are then built. “The earth was formless and empty, and darkness was over the abyss…” And in the words: “and the Spirit of God hovered over the waters,” it is as if the already ready opportunity to create further from the formless substance is emphasized.
Then there is a further transformation of matter into radiation, - electrons and positrons annihilate with the formation of photons. The universe is filled with photons, and the matter in it is like a small sediment in a world of bright light. This process can be compared with the text from Genesis: “And God said, Let there be light. And there was light."

Slide 9

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it separate water from water. 7 And God made the firmament, and separated the water that was under the firmament from the water that was above the firmament. And it became so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning: the second day.
Second day

Slide 10

Modern scientists take as a basis the hypothesis according to which the Earth in its primary form was a cooling fireball, shrouded in dense vapors. These vapors, when cooled, turned into water, and everything around was filled with water and darkness due to the density of the vapors.

slide 11

Job 26:6-8 7 He stretched out the north over the void, hung the earth on nothing. 8 He shuts up the waters in His clouds, and the cloud does not part under them.

slide 12

Day three
“And God said, Let the waters that are under the sky be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear. And it became so. And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of waters he called the seas. And God saw that it was good.”

slide 13

And God commanded that the earth should bring forth plants that bear seed, and trees that bear fruit after their kind.

Slide 14

Day four
And God said: let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to separate the day from the night, and for signs, and times, and days, and years ...

slide 15

And God created two great luminaries: the greater luminary to rule the day, and the lesser luminary to rule the night, and the stars...

Slide 17

Day five
20 And God said, Let the water bring forth reptiles, living creatures; and let the birds fly over the earth, in the firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great fish, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. And God saw that [it] was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth. 23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

Slide 18

And God created the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing on the earth after its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Day six

Slide 19

27 And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion...

Slide 20

Day seven
And God finished His works on the seventh day... and rested on the seventh day from all His works that He had done. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it, for on it he rested from all his works, which God created and created.

heavenly bodies
In the 20th century, scientists discovered microwave background radiation - an invisible light coming to earth from the sky from everywhere, from every mental point in heavenly space. This radiation was called relic, that is, remaining from the first day of creation, when there was no sun, moon, stars.

slide 24

The Bible turned out to be right: the light was before the sun, it was created by God (became) on the first day of creation.

Who wrote the Bible? The Bible was created by about 40 different authors who wrote in different languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek) and lived on three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa). It has already been proven that most of them did not know and never saw, and often did not even suspect the existence of each other. Moreover, they lived at different times, sometimes separating them for centuries, and sometimes for millennia. So the Bible was written in about 60 generations.

When was the Bible written? The latest text of the Bible was written about 1900 years ago, the oldest is about 4000 years old. The originals of none of the ancient texts have survived - only lists! The researchers note. That all these lists coincide with one another at the level of scribal slips that do not affect the meaning of the text. It has been established that we have fragments of lists made during the lifetime of those who personally knew the authors of the New Testament!

Old Testament. The Old Testament consists of 39 books, artificially counted in the Jewish tradition as 22, according to the number of letters of the Hebrew alphabet, or 24, according to the number of letters of the Greek alphabet. All 39 books of the Old Testament are divided into three sections in Judaism. The "Teaching" (Torah) contains the Pentateuch of Moses. "Prophets". "Scriptures".

New Testament. The second part of the Christian Bible is the New Testament, a collection of 27 Christian books written in the 1st century. n. e. and come down to us in ancient Greek. This part of the Bible is the most important for Christianity. The New Testament consists of books belonging to eight divinely inspired writers: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul, James, and Jude.

In the 9th century, the Bible was translated into a language understandable to the Eastern Slavs. The translation was undertaken by the missionary brothers Cyril and Methodius, "the first teachers and enlighteners of the Slavs." Their native language could presumably be a variant of the Old Bulgarian language spoken in their native Thessalonica; they received Greek upbringing and education.

Today, the Bible is the most popular book in the world, with the largest circulation. The Bible has been partially or fully translated into more than 2,400 languages and is available in the native language of more than 90% of the world's population. By some estimates, more than 60 million copies of the Bible are distributed around the world every year.
