Sayda Hayat

Most objective-minded scholars and righteous salaf who lived in the first centuries of Islam confirmed the permissibility of commenting on the Qur'an and often used this method when explaining verses related to aqida. They were unanimous that the literal meaning of some verses of the Qur'an does not correspond to reality, because Allah in the Qur'an said about Himself words meaning: "there is nothing like Him" (42:11).

Ta'wil (that is, interpretation, allegories; revealing the meanings of those verses of the Qur'an and Hadith, the meanings of which are not entirely clear, as well as commentaries on them) is in no way a condemnable innovation (bid'a), because the Companions took it from the Qur'an and Sunnah.

Proof

Allah in the Qur'an said words meaning: "Verily, We have forgotten you" (32:14), "They forgot Allah and He forgot them"(9:67). Based on these verses, we do not have the right to say that it turns out that Allah has the quality of forgetfulness, or to say: “Yes, Allah forgets, but not like a person.” Since the Koran says about this: “But your Lord does not forget” (19:64).

You can, for example, say that Allah hears, but not like a person. With this phrase we attribute quality to Allah and at the same time deny the presence of shortcomings in Him. As for forgetfulness, this quality is not inherent in Him, since it is a shortcoming, therefore we in no case can compare this quality with hearing and sight.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reports that Allah says: “O man, I fell ill and you did not visit Me.”. The person will say: “O Lord, how can I visit You, for You are the Lord of the worlds”. To this Allah will say: “Didn’t you know that such and such My servant was sick, you didn’t visit him. And if you visited him, you would find Me with him...”(Muslim, 2596, Bukhari in Adabul, 517).

Imam an-Nawawi said: “Scholars said about this hadith: “ Allah attributes illness to Himself in order to show the degree of this slave, and his words: “If you would have found Me with him,” mean: “You would have found My reward and bounty next to him.”.

Think about this: in no case do we have the right to attribute to Allah such a quality as illness, because this contradicts the Islamic aqida.

In addition, there are many other examples of ta'wil among the salaf. For example, ta'wil is very common in the sayings of Ibn Abbas, about whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “O Allah, give him knowledge of religion and teach him the interpretation!”(Tabrani fil Kabir, 10587).

Allah in the Qur'an said words that mean: “We today consigned them to oblivion, just as they forgot that they would appear [before Us] on the Day of Judgment” (7:51). This verse does not mean that Allah forgot these people, but that He left them punished. At-Tabari writes that this interpretation is transmitted from Ibn Abbas and Mujahid" (Tafsirul Hafizi ibni Jarir At-Tabari, 201/8).

Another verse says: "On the day when the shins are exposed"(68:42). Ibn Abbas said that shin refers to the difficulty and severity of the Day of Judgment. The same interpretation was proposed by Mujahid, Said ibn Jubair, Qatada and other salafs (Fathul Bari, 428/13).

In the verse “And We raised the sky with our hands”(51:47) Ibn Abbas comments on the word “with hands” as “power”, because very often the word “hand” is used figuratively as strength and power (Tafsir Hafizi Tabari, 27/7).

About the verse "...and your Lord will come"(89:22) Imam Ahmad said that we are talking about the fact that the reward of the Lord will come. Jalal reports from Habal, the uncle of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that Imam Ahmad used ta'wil in various situations (Ibnu Kathir fil Bidayah wa Nihaya, 327/10).

Also, Imam al-Bukhari, regarding the hadith “Allah laughs at two Muslims who killed each other and both went to Paradise,” said that it is not about laughter, but about the mercy of Allah (Al Bayhaki fil asmai wa lyugati, 470).

Speculation that Allah is supposedly in heaven

Supporters of the physicality of Allah, as proof of their correctness regarding the place allegedly occupied by Allah, cite the verses: “He rules over His slaves, He is Wise, Knowing” (6:18), "They fear their Lord who is above them" (16:50), “He is the Exalted, the Great” (34:23), "Glorify the name of your Lord Most High" (87:1), (67:17), “Indeed, those who are with your Lord...”(7:206). As for the salaf, they interpreted and understood these texts without being based on the qualities of physicality. They did not deny or compare, but at the same time they knew that Allah is perfect, that He has no flaws and He has no partners.

Ibn Kathir writes about this: “The righteous salafs - Malik, al-Awzagi, as-Sawri, al-Lays ibn Sad, al-Shafi'i, Ahmad, Ishaq ibn Rahwiyya - were of the opinion that the qualities of Allah cannot be equated with anyone else's, deny them, and be interested, asking “how?”. Both the literal meaning and human understanding of these qualities are not inherent in Allah, since the Quran says: “...there is nothing like Him”(42:11).”

On this occasion, Hammad al-Khuzaghi, the teacher of Imam al-Bukhari, said: “Whoever equates the qualities of Allah with the qualities of His creatures is an infidel. Whoever denies His qualities is an infidel, because nowhere, neither in the Quran nor in the Sunnah, is Allah equated with a person. Therefore, whoever accepts what is said in the Quran and Sunnah, and whoever denies what contradicts it, is on the straight path.”

As for those verses that supposedly say that “Allah is above,” if we think about their meaning, we will understand that we are talking only about the power of Allah and His greatness. In Arabic, it is this word “fawqa” (“above”) that has the meaning of greatness, power, disposal at one’s discretion, in the most perfect sense of these words. Is it conceivable to attribute a place to Allah? After all, this is a quality inherent only to creatures. Therefore, by attributing a place to Him, we equate Him with creatures, and Allah is pure from this shortcoming. The Koran says: “...there is nothing like Him.”

Comparative analysis of verses

Let's compare the two verses. The first says about Allah: “He rules over His servants” (6:18), the second quotes the words of Pharaoh, who said: “We rule over them” (7:127). Did Pharaoh mean that he was superior to the children of Israel in a spatial sense? When Pharaoh proclaimed his divinity, he said: “I am your highest Lord,” so we can conclude that those who say that “Allah is above” are no different in their understanding from Pharaoh, because it is known that “ Pharaoh said: “O Haman! Build a tower for me. Perhaps I will reach the paths, the paths of heaven, and look at the God of Musa "" (40:36-37), to which Allah replied: “So the vile deeds of Pharaoh seemed beautiful to him, and he was led astray.” (40:37).

And there are a lot of such verses. For example, Allah says to Musa: "Don't be afraid, you are superior"(20:68), however, this does not mean that Musa was superior to the sorcerers in a spatial sense, he was superior to them in an essential sense, because he turned out to be the winner. In another verse, Allah said: “Do not be discouraged, do not be upset, for you are above others if you believe.”(3:139); here again we are not talking about spatial height, but about semantic height, that is, about victory over the infidels by the will of Allah. Another proof of the inadmissibility of spatial understanding is the words of Allah, meaning: “He is the First and the Last, the Highest and the Nearest” (57:3).

As for the texts that say “rose”, “descended”, some of them talk about angels, others have a figurative meaning. For example, if someone says: “I rose from director to minister,” this does not mean that the minister’s office is a floor higher than the director’s office.

Therefore, the texts of the Koran and Sunnah should under no circumstances be understood literally, especially when referring to Allah. For example, the Koran says: “...and We are closer to him than the cervical artery” (50:16), "Wherever you are, He is with you" (57:4), “There is no secret conversation between three without Him being the fourth; between five, so that He would not be the sixth"(58:7). How is it possible for Allah to be simultaneously “above” (as the proponents of corporeality say), next to three and five (as Allah Himself says), constantly close to the creatures, and even closer than the cervical artery? What should we choose? What these people say, or what Allah told us?

Beliefs of Heretics

As for the verse: “Do you really doubt that He who is in heaven...”, then it talks about angels. In no case can one say that Allah is “in the heavens,” because there are seven heavens, and the question arises: in which of them is He “located”? Allah said in the Qur'an: “His throne embraces the heavens and the earth”(2:255). It follows from this that if Allah is in the heavens, then His Throne is greater than Himself, because from the verse it is clear that the Throne is greater than the heavens and the earth. May Allah protect us from such beliefs!

Also, if we assume that Allah is “in the heavens,” then this will mean that they surround Him, and therefore He is smaller than the heavens. May Allah protect us from such beliefs! If He is “in heaven,” then which one exactly? And where was He before He created them? How could He create heaven if He Himself needed it? Will we see Allah if we rise to heaven? Allah is above all this, He is above all these issues.

And if you say...

If these people say that the meaning of heaven is the heights, and Allah is above the heavens, then they will contradict their words - after all, they previously claimed that He is in the heavens. Further: their statement that Allah is on the Throne indicates that the Throne is larger than Him, that is, we have already come to specify the “size of Allah”: it turns out that He is smaller than the Throne. May Allah protect us from such beliefs!

From this it becomes clear that the interpretation proposed by supporters of corporeality is incorrect. Only the interpretation given by us is suitable for Allah.

In conclusion - the word of Imam Ashari

And in conclusion, let us cite the words of Imam Abul-Hasan al-Ashari from his book “Al-Ibana” (p. 21): “Istava only in the meaning in which he told us, and only with the meaning that he put into these words. Istava has nothing to do with touching, positioning, placement, embodiment, or movement in space. He does not rest on the Throne, on the contrary, the Throne and those who hold it exist thanks to His mercy and power. He is above the Throne, above everything. He is many degrees above the Throne, as above all creatures, but at the same time He is close to them and He is a Witness to every thing.”

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent and the Merciful! Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds!

For 23 years, the suras and verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by the Almighty Allah through the Angel Jebrail. Each Revelation was accompanied by fever and chills of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and this happened in stages, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) strengthened on the prophetic path. Many argue and doubt that the Quran was revealed by the Almighty, but the Truth speaks for itself - the Quran was transmitted by the Lord through the Holy Spirit to the Prophet Muhammad. Truth does not cease to be Truth just because someone does not believe in it.

The gradual transmission of Revelations caused criticism and ridicule from ill-wishers, but this contained the great Wisdom and Mercy of Allah:

The disbelievers said: “Why was the Quran not revealed to him in its entirety at one time?” We did this to strengthen your heart with it, and we explained it in the most beautiful way. Whatever parable they brought to you, We revealed to you the truth and the best interpretation." Surah "Discrimination", 32-33.

By sending down the Quran in stages, Allah showed people that their imperfect nature is taken into account, and before prohibiting or commanding anything, Allah, the All-Seeing and All-Knowing, patiently gives people the opportunity to strengthen themselves:

We have divided the Quran so that you can read it to people slowly. We sent it down in parts. Surah "Night Transfer", 106.

The Koran consists of 114 suras (chapters) and 6236 verses (verses), the verses revealed in Mecca are called Meccan, and in Medina, respectively, Medina.

After the death of the Great Prophet (632), there were still many people who listened live to the sermons of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and knew the texts of the suras by heart. However, due to the fact that the Prophet did not do it or did not allow it, no one dared to collect all the texts of the sermons. And now, 20 years after his departure from worldly life, the question of combining all the records was raised. And therefore, in 651, texts began to be collected and selected so that after a certain edition they would be written down in the Koran, and it was decided to do this precisely in the Quraish dialect, in which the last Prophet preached.

Zeid ibn Sabbit, the adopted son and personal scribe of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), spoke about the history of writing the Koran, how the decision was made to collect all the records together: “During the battle of Yamama, Abu Bakr called me. I went to him and met Omar at his place. Abu Bakr told me: Omar came to me and said: “The battle has become fierce and the Qurra (experts and readers of the Koran) are participating in it.” I am very afraid that such battles will take the lives of the Qurra, and with them the Quran may be lost. In this connection, I believe that you (O Abu Bakr) order the collection of the Koran (into a single book).” I (that is, Abu Bakr) answered him (Umar): “How can I do what the Prophet did not do?“However, Omar objected: “There is great benefit in this matter.” How can I not tried to evade From this matter, Omar continued persistent appeals. Finally I agreed. Then Zaid ib Sabbit continued: “Abu Bakr turned to me and said: “You are a young and intelligent man. We trust you completely. In addition, you were the secretary of the Prophet and wrote down the verses revealed by Allah that you heard from the prophet. Now take up the Koran and compile it into a complete list.” Then Zaid ibn Sabbit said: “By Allah! If Abu Bakr had loaded a whole mountain on me, it would have seemed to me a lighter burden than what he entrusted to me. I objected to him: How will you do what the Messenger of Allah did not do? However, Abu Bakr convincingly told me: “I swear by Allah! There is great benefit in this matter.” This is how Zeid ibn Sabbit told about this matter.

In this regard, the reader may involuntarily ask questions: why didn’t the Prophet himself do this? Why didn’t he order this to be done during his lifetime? Or why didn’t he bequeath to do this after his death, because it is known that he gave many instructions and instructions about what and how Muslims should do after his death? We do not yet have answers to such questions, but as we know, those who search sooner or later find answers.

Why did the Prophet, so attentive, consistent and meticulous in everything related to his prophetic mission, allow himself to be so “negligent”? After all, it is obvious that if this were a godly deed, the Prophet would in no case have left it unattended. Why do fragments of words from the Prophet’s companions and relatives about this matter raise some suspicions of something more than what the surviving (that is, not completely destroyed) sources tell us? Why did this matter cause such obvious rebuff from everyone who first heard about it? For example, both Abu Bakr and Zeid ibn Sabbit were against it at first and did not dare to take on it. Why? Clearly something very important was holding them back? Isn't it a ban from the Prophet himself? Why did they both (Abu Bakr and Zayd ibn Sabbit) refuse with the same words: “How can we do what the Messenger of Allah did not do?” But it is obvious that Omar's persistence prevailed and they agreed. It is obvious that the answers to all these questions will be found if we tirelessly continue our search.

By the way, another strange thing is that after the Koran was collected under the editorship of Zeid, all other versions of the Koran were destroyed by order of Osman. Various figures are given in the chronicles about the number of first copies of the Koran. Some give data on 4, some on 5, some on 7 copies. From sources citing the number 7, it is known that one of the copies remained in Medina. Others were (one book each) sent to Mecca, Sham (Damascus), Yemen, Bahrain, Basra and Kufa. After this, Osman ordered the destruction of all remaining fragments that remained after the work of the commission. Abu Kilaba recalled: “When Othman completed the destruction of the fragments, he sent a message to all Muslim provinces, which contained the following words: “I have done such work (to reproduce the Quran). After that, I destroyed all the fragments remaining outside the Book. I instruct you to destroy them in your areas.”. A very interesting business, isn't it? People whom today's official history positions as the closest companions of the Prophet are taking somewhat strange actions. Was it necessary to destroy all other fragments? After all, they contained a revelation from the Almighty, who is capable of such savagery as to destroy what was revealed in revelation to the Great Prophet? By the way, in this regard, it would be useful to remember that again Osman opposed the order of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) when he, leaving this world, asked to bring ink and kalam in order to leave a command that would save Muslims from disputes and disagreements. But Osman said that the Messenger of Allah was delusional and forbade his words to be written down. After which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered everyone to leave with the words: “It is not appropriate for you to argue in the presence of the Messenger of Allah.”

Another interesting fact is that, for example, As-Suyuti, one of the most famous commentators of the Quran, quotes the words of Omar, who allegedly said: “Don't let anyone say that he has received the entire Qur'an, because how does he know that this is all? Most of the Koran was lost. We only got what was available".

Aisha, the most capable student and wife of the Prophet, also, according to As-Suyuti, said: “In the time of the Prophet, the chapter “Coalition” (Sura 33) contained two hundred verses. When Osman edited the records of the Koran, only the current verses were written down” (i.e., 73). In addition, Abi Ayub ibn Yunus quoted a verse that he read in Aisha's list, but which is now not included in the Qur'an and adds that Aisha accused Osman of distorting the Koran . Aisha also talked about how there were two verses that were not included in the Koran, they were written on paper, lay under her pillow, but a goat ate them. We are far from conducting an investigation into this incident, but the fact remains that two verses have disappeared, no matter whether the goat ate them or the goat.

Adi ibn Adi criticizes the existence of other missing verses whose original existence was confirmed by Zayd ibn Sabbit. Some (Abu Waqid al-Layti, Abu Musa al-Amori, Zeid ibn Arqam and Jabir ibn Abdullah) recall the verse about the greed of people, which is not mentioned in the Quran.

There is also a story about Uba ibn Ka'b, one of the closest companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This famous person asked one Muslim: “How many verses are there in Surah “Coalition”? He replied: “Seventy-three.” Uba told him: “They were almost equal to Surah Taurus (286 verses).”

When Omar raised the question of the loss of some other verses, Abu ar-Rahman Auf answered him: “ They fell out along with those who fell out of the Koran " A conversation between Osman and one of his contemporaries has also been preserved. He said that the Quran during the life of the Prophet contained 1,027,000 letters, but the current text consists of 267,033 letters. A certain Abu Al-Aswad reported from the words of his father that: “We used to read a chapter of the Koran similar in length to Surah Taurus. I only remember these words: “Shall the sons of Adam have two valleys full of riches? Then they would look for a third one.” There are no such words in the modern Koran. A certain Abu Musa stated that the Koran is missing two whole suras, and one of them contained 130 verses. Another contemporary of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Abi bin Kaab said that there were surahs called “Al Hula” and “Al Hifz”.

Moreover, modern archaeological finds also indicate that there were several versions of the text of the Qur'an. In particular, in 1972, in one of the oldest mosques in Sana’a, not just manuscripts were discovered, but a palimpsest, that is, the work of a line written on an even more ancient text. The manuscripts from Sana'a are not the only ones that contain deviations from the official text of today's Koran. These and similar finds prove that changes were made and that there were several editions of the Qur'an. According to some sources, the Muslim tradition recognizes more than 14 different readings of the Koran or its variants, which are called “qiraats”. Which in itself is quite suspicious, considering that the Prophet Muhammad himself did not make changes to the revelations, but only transmitted them. Surah Ash-Shura, verse 48: “If they turn away, then We did not send you as their guardian. You are entrusted only with the transmission of revelation " Surah Ar-Raad, verse 40: " We will show you part of what We promise them, or we will kill you, you are entrusted only with the transmission of revelation, and We must present the bill

All of the above oddities indicate that perhaps today humanity does not have the Quran that was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and preached by him with the aim of spreading the Truth among all humanity. It is difficult to say anything unambiguously after 14 centuries, but the presence of intrigues, intrigues and changes to separate and remove Muslims from the Truth is obvious. There is no doubt, however, that Almighty Allah has protected His Edification and Message - the Qur'an, for despite all human tricks, the Qur'an contains the infinite Wisdom of Allah! Verily, We have revealed the Quran and We protect it.(Sura Al-Hijr 15:9) The Almighty and All-Seeing Allah, knowing human weakness and craving for earthly goods and power, reliably protected the Quran and therefore, to this day, in it, everyone submissive to the Will of Allah with a pure heart is able to feel and see the sparkle of Truth!

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful! Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, the Gracious, the Merciful, the Lord of the Day of Retribution! You alone we worship and You alone we pray for help. Lead us on the straight path, the path of those whom You have blessed, not those on whom anger has fallen, and not those who are lost.

“Such is Isa, son of Maryam! This is the true Word
about which they quarrel"
(Quran 19:34)

Do followers of Jesus know their Messiah the way Muslims know him? Do they love him the way Muslims love him? What is known about the place of Jesus in Islam? As a rule, only that the Koran denies the divine nature of the Messiah, recognizing him only as a prophet-messenger. However, we cannot limit ourselves to just this statement, because it does not fully convey the true position of Jesus in this religion. Yes, there are many reproaches addressed to Christians in the Koran, but not a single one to Jesus. On the contrary, every verse of the Quran dedicated to him or Mary is filled with exceptional veneration. Allah firmly pointed out the contradictions between what was revealed to Jesus and what numerous Christian sects argued and argue about.

The greatest misconception among Christians is that Muslims do not believe in Jesus. In reality this is not the case. On the contrary, Muslims revere Isa bin Mariyam; he is the second most important “prophet” in Islam. In the Koran, the followers of Jesus are called “ahl al-kitab” (people of the book, i.e. the Bible), the attitude towards them is positive: “And surely you will find that those who say, “We are Nazarenes,” are closest in love to those who believe.” And this is because among them there are priests and monks who are devoid of pride and do not rise above others» (Quran 5:82). Despite this, Muslims believe that the Bible has been corrupted over many centuries and reject it in its current form as used by the Christian Church.

On the other hand, some Christians are convinced that the Koran commands Muslims to kill Christians if they refuse to convert to Islam. This prejudice is not true. The Koran specifically stipulates that in relation to “ahl al-kitab” (Christians and Jews), the faithful should not be guided by hatred, but by respect and tolerance: “In religion, (the Almighty) has ordained for you what He commanded Noah, what We revealed (to Muhammad) in revelation, what We commanded Abraham, Moses and Jesus, (saying): “Observe religion and do not divide.”(Quran 42:13). And elsewhere: “Say: “We believe in Allah and in what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants, in what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets by their Lord. We make no distinction between them and surrender to Him."(Quran 2:136). When Muslims debate with the People of the Book, they are required to avoid anything that causes grief or hostility: “If you enter into a dispute with the people of the Book, then give them the best arguments. And do not argue with those of them who are outrageous. Say: “We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was sent down to you. Our God and your God are one, and we surrender to Him.”(Quran 29:46).

Jesus is mentioned in the Koran in 15 suras, 93 verses. It is these verses that form the basis of the Muslim belief about Jesus. At the same time, for example, 502 verses are dedicated to Moses, 245 verses are dedicated to Abraham. However, according to Ali Merad, a prominent scholar in the field of Islamic-Christian dialogue, the atmosphere that surrounds the Messiah in the Koran, his description, arouses in the souls of Muslims a love that is many times stronger than the love for other prophets of the pre-Islamic era.

Allah in the Qur'an rejects all fictions regarding him and his mother Mary (peace be upon them both): “Those who said: “Truly, Allah is the Messiah, the son of Maryam (Mary)” did not believe. Say: “Who can hinder Allah even a little if He wants to destroy the Messiah, the son of Maryam (Mary), his mother and everyone on earth?” To Allah belongs the power over the heavens, the earth and everything in between. He creates whatever he wants. Allah is capable of everything."(Quran 5:17). “Allah said: “O Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Have you told people: “Accept me and my mother as two gods along with Allah?” He said: “Glorified are You! How could I say something that I have no right to say? If I said that, You would know about it. You know what is in my soul, but I do not know what is in Your Soul. Verily, Thou art the Knower of the unseen."(Quran 5:116). As can be seen from these verses in Islam, Jesus is not perceived as the second person of the Trinity, but only as the messenger of God.

Regarding another important dogma of Christianity about the crucifixion, the Koran says: “Allah said: “O Isa (Jesus)! I will give you peace and lift you to Myself. I will cleanse you from those who did not believe, and I will exalt those who followed you until the Day of Resurrection above those who did not believe. Then you must return to Me, and I will judge between you on what you differed in.”(Quran 3:55), in another surah: «… and said: “Verily, we have killed the Messiah Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah.” However, they did not kill him or crucify him, but it only seemed to them. Those who argue about this are in doubt and know nothing about it, but only follow assumptions. They didn't really kill him (or didn't kill him with certainty) Oh no! It was Allah who raised him to Himself, for Allah is Mighty and Wise.”(Quran 4:157-158). So Jesus did not die and was not crucified, since God, in His mercy, exalted him to Himself, thereby confirming the special exalted status of the Messiah, as a prophet and as a man. Even as a baby, he could speak and the connection with the Creator was already present then. “She pointed to him (Mary) and they said: “How can we talk to a baby in a cradle? He said (Jesus): “Verily, I am a slave of Allah. He gave me the Scripture and made me a prophet. He made me blessed wherever I was and commanded me to perform prayer and give zakat as long as I live. He made me respectful to my mother and did not make me arrogant and unhappy. Peace be with me on the day I was born, on the day I pass away, and on the day I am raised to life. This is Isa, son of Maryam! This is the true Word about which they dispute.”(Quran 19:29-34).

Jesus in the Koran servant of God(Abdallah), but most often he is called Jesus, son of Mary(16 times - Jesus, son of Mary, 17 - Son of Mary), while in the Gospels this expression occurs only once. And the very honor of mentioning the name of his mother along with the name of the prophet shows their special position in Islam, despite the fact that it is not customary for Arabs to indicate kinship by mentioning the name of the mother. At the same time, by the grace of the Most High, the praise of Mary points to the human essence of Jesus himself, because he was born from an ordinary woman.

“O people of the Book! Do not be excessive in your religion and speak only the truth about Allah. Messiah Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), is the messenger of Allah, His Word that He sent to Maryam (Mary), and the spirit from Him. Believe in Allah and His messengers and do not say: “Trinity!” Stop it, it will be better for you. Verily, Allah is the only God. He is pure and far from having a son. To Him belongs what is in heaven and what is on earth. It is enough that Allah is the Trustee and Guardian!” (Quran 4:171). The words of Allah, the spirit of God, the Messiah ( masih - anointed; according to Tabari's commentary, "he who is washed is cleansed from all sin." Like Adam, He was created by the Divine command “Be!”, and not simply born, like all other people, and not simply chosen by God, like all other prophets: “Verily, Isa (Jesus) is like Adam before Allah. He created him from dust, and then said to him: “Be!” - and he arose"(Quran 3:59).

The Koran does not at all emphasize the significance of the prophet Isa; on the contrary, it only emphasizes his difference from other prophets. It was he who was born of the Virgin: “He (Archangel Gabriel) said: “Truly, I have been sent by your Lord to give you a pure boy.” She said (Mary): “How can I have a boy if I have not been touched by a man and I have not been a harlot?”(Quran 19:20-21); it was he who was taken alive by God into heaven: “Because they did not believe, they raised a great slander against Maryam (Mary) and said: “Truly, we killed the Messiah Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah.” However, they did not kill him or crucify him, but it only seemed to them. Those who argue about this are in doubt and know nothing about it, but only follow assumptions. They didn't really kill him (or didn't kill him with certainty). Oh no! It was Allah who raised him to Himself, for Allah is Mighty and Wise.”(Quran 4:156-158). In these passages we see another proof of the special place of Isa, among those close to the Creator (al-muqarrabun). In addition to all the well-known names and epithets, Allah in the Qur'an calls Jesus as follows: the son of Mary (ibn Maryam), the Messiah (al-Masih), the Witness of God (al-shahid), the Sign of the Day of Judgment, the day of Resurrection (ala).

Jesus in the Gospel

What does the canonical Christian Gospel say about the divinity of Jesus? Surprisingly, there is not a single unequivocal statement by Jesus about his divinity. Moreover, the modern canonical Gospels indicate that if Jesus had declared his divinity, this would have been regarded as a terrible blasphemy for the Jews. This sin was punishable by death in Jewish society. “We do not want to stone You for a good deed, but for blasphemy and because You, being a man, make Yourself God.”(John 19:7) such was his accusation of blasphemy before Pontius Pilate. They said as punishment: “We have a law, and according to our law He must die, because He made Himself the Son of God.” Thus, the term “Son of God” in Christianity has acquired a much greater meaning than just a human Messiah with ordinary human nature. "You make Yourself God." That was the point. Therefore, if Jesus, contrary to Jewish religion and tradition, would have said this, he would never have gained popularity in Judea.

The Koran denies many episodes of the life of Jesus described in the Gospels. This primarily refers to his redemptive mission, as well as his trial, crucifixion, and resurrection. For example, it is alleged that the Jews, having accused him of witchcraft and rejected his prophetic mission, decided to crucify and kill him. However, Allah protected His messenger and raised him to Himself before they did this: “and they said: “Verily, we have killed the Messiah Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah.” However, they did not kill him or crucify him, but it only seemed to them. Those who argue about this are in doubt and know nothing about it, but only follow assumptions. They didn't really kill him (or didn't kill him with certainty). Oh no! It was Allah who raised him to Himself, for Allah is Mighty and Wise.”(Quran, 4:157-158). According to the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, another man similar to him was crucified. Therefore, the Koran says that those who talk about his crucifixion are deeply mistaken and that they have no facts about it except assumptions.

The events surrounding the arrest of Isa (Jesus) are described by the outstanding interpreter of the Koran, Ibn Kathir. He wrote:

“When Allah sent Isa ibn Maryam to the Jews with clear signs and guidance, they envied his prophecy and the amazing miracles that Allah bestowed on him. The way he, with the permission of Allah, healed the blind and lepers, revived the dead, etc. One day he molded a bird from clay and breathed life into it: it turned into a living bird, and people saw it fly into the air by the will of Allah, He is Almighty and Great. Despite this, they considered him a liar, resisted him and tried with all their might to harm him, until the Prophet of Allah Isa stopped living with them in the cities and went to wander with his mother. But they were not content with this and slandered him before the then ruler of Damascus, a pagan Greek who worshiped the planets. The Jews presented this matter to the ruler as if there was a man in Jerusalem who was sowing confusion among the people, misleading them and inciting his people against his power. The ruler was angry and sent a letter to his governor in Jerusalem with orders to seize this man, crucify him and put a wreath of thorns on his head. When the governor of Jerusalem received the letter, he obeyed and went with a group of Jews to the house where Isa was. At that moment he was with twelve or thirteen of his companions. They say that this happened on Friday, closer to sunset, that is, on Saturday evening. They surrounded the house, and when he (Isa) felt that either they would inevitably break in or he should go out to them, he said to his companions: “Who wants to become like me and be my companion in paradise?” One young man volunteered, but Isa considered him too young for this. He repeated his words a second time, and a third, but no one except this young man responded. Then Isa said: “You will be him!” And Allah changed his appearance to the appearance of Isa so that they became completely similar. Then a hole opened in the roof of the house and Isa fell into a doze. In this state, he ascended to heaven, as the Almighty said about it: “Here Allah said: “O Isa (Jesus)! I will give you peace and lift you to Myself. I will cleanse you from those who did not believe, and I will exalt those who followed you until the Day of Resurrection above those who did not believe."(Quran, 3:55). When he ascended, his disciples came out. The Jews, seeing this young man, mistook him for Jesus, seized him at night, crucified him and put a wreath of thorns on his head. The Jews announced to everyone that they had achieved his crucifixion and boasted about it. Some of the people believed it. Only those who were in that house with Jesus and witnessed his ascension remained.

Also, the Koran does not recognize the teaching of Jesus as universal: “He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, the Taurat (Torah) and the Injil (Gospel). He will make him a messenger to the children of Israel (Israel): “I have brought you a sign from your Lord. I will create for you the likeness of a bird from clay, blow on it, and it will become a bird with the permission of Allah. I will heal the blind (or deprived of sight from birth; or having weak eyesight) and the leper, and I will raise the dead with the permission of Allah. I will tell you about what you eat and what you store in your homes. Indeed, in this there is a sign for you, if only you are believers. I have come to confirm the truth of what was in the Taurat (Torah) before me, and to allow you part of what was forbidden to you. I have brought you a sign from your Lord. Fear Allah and obey me. Verily, Allah is my Lord and your Lord. Worship Him, for this is the straight path!”(Quran, 3:48-51). This is also stated in the Gospel of Matthew: “And he answered and said, I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”(Matthew 15:24) - arguing for the limitation of Jesus' mission to one nation.

Finally, in the Koran, Isa predicted the coming of the last prophet to all humanity - Muhammad: “But Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), said: “O sons of Israel (Israel)! I have been sent to you by Allah to confirm the truthfulness of what was in the Taurat (Torah) before me, and to convey the good news of the Messenger who will come after me, whose name will be Ahmad (Muhammad).” When he came to them with clear signs, they said: “This is obvious witchcraft.”(Quran, 61:6). This is another confirmation that the Islamic religion did not appear out of nowhere, but is a natural continuation of the ideas and traditions of ancient monotheism. Continuity of faith is one of the main ideas of Islam. The prophecy of Muhammad, according to Muslim primary sources, was the logical conclusion of the chain of prophecies in human history starting with Adam.

The purpose of Islam, like any final Word, is not to accuse previous scriptures, but only to bring clarity to questions of dogma and to indicate the truth by eradicating lies. For Muslims, Jesus is much more than one of the prophets sent by God to the children of Israel. As the second Adam, he embraces all of humanity, and as a sign for worlds and people, together with his mother Mary, he illuminates the entire history of mankind.

Demons often come to me. And only in the name of Jesus Christ and the Lord’s Prayer do they melt like butter. It’s really painful to try to get into your soul! The Trinity - God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit - is the essence of God, difficult to understand. But we can represent three-dimensional space with three coordinate axes? It never ceases to be a single space for living beings! So is God the Father (punishing and severe Allah, truth and love), Jesus Christ (the Word of God, mercy and forgiveness of our grave sins after repentance, the prophet of truth) and the Holy Spirit (life-giving, emanating from the Father). They are one. In the Creator. There is one God in essence, but he is also trinity in three persons. Did you think that God created a complex and diverse world that is easy to understand? Wise, fair, loving and judging in the way we arrange for ourselves through our actions...

There is only one Allah and everything is at his will. No one will guide anyone who he leads astray to the right path, and no one will lead astray who he has guided to the straight path. He is the most pure from the one whom they associate with him.

“Your very essence is sinful, like all people on this earth.” I can’t understand the meaning of these words? Help.

“Our Orthodox woman is a person equal to man, thanks to the Mother of God, but you don’t have anything good, we stand in the temple of God next to our men, but they disdain you.” In terms of?!?!? A very unpleasant statement addressed to Muslim women! Is it possible to insult and humiliate people like that?!

Help!!

Love is just a trick of demons (genies, in our opinion) that they come to you, and when you commit polytheism by turning in prayers to someone other than the Creator, they fall behind. The goal of the devils is for a person to die in polytheism and go to hell. The same thing happens with other polytheists such as Buddhists. Monotheism is a truth that agrees with the innate feeling (fitra) and with reason and with the Scriptures revealed to the prophets of God. What you are on now is Paulineism, Jesus, peace be upon him, will renounce you on the Day of Judgment and your polytheism, you followed the enemy of Jesus, Paul was at enmity with Jesus during his lifetime. Then the Greco-Roman polytheistic culture greatly influenced what is called Christianity today. The New Testament was written by two disciples of Paul, and two others who are said to be disciples of Jesus, although in encyclopedias you will find that the authorship of the Bible is not at all established. Yes and no there is about the Trinity in the Bible. Where are the records of the other students? There were 50 of them... many Gospels were burned after the Council of Nicea, at which the prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, was deified, and the Trinity was established as the basis of the Christian faith. You have the Koran, which says that God is One, that no one can be worshiped but Him, that no soul will bear the burden of the sins of others. The Koran was written down during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

Thank you very much Angela! A worthy answer!

Isn’t the fight against Islam a heresy, an innovation in Orthodoxy? 60. While you are fighting Islam, Islam is dealing with your people. That's why former Christians convert to Islam. Do you agree with this?

Andrey, good afternoon! You will definitely find the answer to your questions if you carefully read the articles on the site and forum topics!

Well, in short, let’s first translate your question from church language into universal human language: You ask why Muslims do not recognize the prophet Jesus as God. The answer is obvious: Islam is a religion of monotheism, calling to worship only the Creator, and no one else along with Him! Worship of prophets, icons, crosses, saints and righteous people, and anyone and anything along with God is the greatest sin in Islam, the sin of polytheism.
The belief that God incarnated in one of His creatures is one of the varieties of idolatry, more about this here:

As for the belief that the innocent Jesus atoned for the sins of mankind, for us this is a direct accusation of God for injustice, inability to forgive, in a word, blasphemy, but about how salvation is achieved in Islam here:

If you look at the question objectively, it will become obvious that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, can rightfully be called the savior of humanity, because he transmitted from God to humanity such knowledge, life in accordance with which is happiness in this world and in eternity and solution all the problems of humanity!
And this knowledge was not distorted, unlike the messages of previous prophets, who were initially sent to certain peoples and for a certain time, while the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was sent to all humanity until the Day of Judgment.

So why don’t you recognize the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, who calls for crystal clear monotheism and peace with God, for loyalty to our Creator!!!?

As-salamu alaikum wa rahmatu Llahi wa barakatuh! I am also from Kazakhstan and I converted to Islam. I was a Christian and read the Bible, but then I heard the nasheeds and liked it, but somehow I heard the Koran and the first thing I heard was the 19th surah of Maryam. By the Will of Allah. Reader Ziyad Patel. I got goosebumps when I listened and read the translation. For about a year, in fear of making a mistake, I read the Koran and Hadith. All the differences and similarities between the Bible and the Koran. And then, by the Will of Allah, I understood. That the Bible and the Koran are from the same Lord of the worlds, it’s just that the first one is distorted, and while reading the hadiths, I realized that the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and welcome him) was a very gentle and kind person and cannot be such a liar. And a year later, reading the Koran and Hadith without anyone’s prompting, I decided to convert to Islam. Truly, I believe that Allah has guided me to the straight path and opened my eyes to the truth. And I want to say to Christians... never believe in slander against Islam. Until you find anything you have heard about Islam in the Quran or reliable hadiths. Truly Islam does not teach anything bad. As it is said: the furthest people from Allah are those who have hard hearts, and the closest people are those who have soft hearts. Read the Koran and accept Islam. Insha Allah, maybe my message will benefit someone. And his eyes will open if only Allah Almighty wills it!

Greetings to all believers, Muslims and Christians! May the Lord have mercy on us and forgive us. I have a question for everyone who knows more than me. I have long wanted to convert to Islam, but this would be considered a renunciation of faith, that is, a betrayal of my Orthodox faith. But in Islam I see a more sincere truth (belief in God). The main reason for this is that Islam is not tied to the money of parishioners, for which they then buy expensive cars and houses, archpriests and metropolitans and me, for my money, push me away from themselves with this (may GOD forgive me for these words, priests cannot be condemned) but this is a fact . Especially the way they show it to everyone, making people jealous of their wealth! But there is another problem: my wife and son are Orthodox. In general, I don’t know what to do. If anyone can give the right advice I would be very grateful! May the Lord bless you all!

Hello, Evgeniy, of course this will not be a betrayal, on the contrary, it will be a return to God and to monotheism, on which He created you. Jesus did not profess Christianity, he professed monotheism, that is, Islam, and the Greco-Roman influence changed what he came with... accept Islam! God help you! With time, gentleness and wisdom, God willing, you will also convince your daughter and wife!

Greetings, Evgeniy. We are glad to hear about your desire to convert to Islam. Eugene, if you love Jesus peace be upon him, then Islam does not force you to renounce him - on the contrary, a person who does not confirm the prophetic status of Jesus peace be upon him is not a Muslim. We Muslims love and respect Jesus, peace be upon him. as a prophet and messenger, as the greatest of messengers; but the fact is that divinity cannot be attributed to him, for he was a man. God is One and He has no sons or partners. If you are convinced that God is One, and believe that Muhammad is the servant of the Almighty and His messenger, then boldly become a Muslim.
If your wife is a Christian, then the marriage of a Muslim to a Christian is valid. There are no problems with this.

Peace be with you Christians and Muslims! Please help me find information: what Islam says about the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River. I can't find it anywhere. What does the Koran say about this, is this event described there? Did it actually take place according to Islamic teachings and what does it mean? Thanks in advance to everyone who answers.
Good for you!

Natalya, baptism, according to encyclopedias, is, in fact, a ritual ablution; in Islam there is a ritual ablution, only not by birth, but in other situations, in any case, Jesus, peace be upon him, lived according to the “law of Moses”, he, however, allowed a small part of what was prohibited in the Torah. In any case, the community of believers lives according to the law that their prophet brought, we are all people living after the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, we belong to the last prophet and live, or rather must live, according to the law brought to them from God (Sharia), and All the prophets had the same belief, and this is pure monotheism.

Peace to all present: those who are in the truth, and those who sincerely strive for it.
Evgeny, I advise you to read the book of the former Orthodox priest Ali-Vyacheslav Polosin “The Direct Path to God” - I think you will understand a lot and your doubts will disappear.

Dear Muslims! Clarify the fact that the main prophet Muhammad died and Isa was ascended?

Deonysius, the prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, will come again to kill the anti-Christ Dajjal, but ultimately all creations are mortal, including Jesus, peace be upon him, except the Creator, the Ever-Living

Deonisy, the prophets, peace be upon them, were people just like us. Before the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, there were also prophets who died. Moses, peace be upon him, died, Abraham, peace be upon him. died. In the same way, Muhammad, when his time came, died. But, if this position of Jesus, peace be upon him, surprises you, then there were messengers with whom the Almighty spoke Himself. The Almighty wished that Jesus, peace be upon him, would return and then die his own death.

Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters! When I converted to Islam, I chose the name Isa! And now I want to ask, can I wear it?

Wa alaikum assalaam, naming after prophets is commendable

The Qur'an is the Scripture revealed to all mankind from the Almighty Creator. The Koran is a Revelation from the One and Only true God, expressed in the words of the Creator Himself of the entire universe and all people, your and my God. The Qur'an is the final Scripture from the Lord of the worlds to all mankind until the Day of Judgment.

Any religious teaching is based on authoritative books that tell followers about the rules of life. Interestingly, it is impossible to establish the authorship of most of these books. Moreover, there is often no way to find out exactly when a book was written and by whom it was translated.

The holy books on which Islam is based are based on absolutely reliable sources; they are taken as the basis of faith. There are only two of them - the Koran and the Suna. If any hadith contradicts the Koran, then it is discarded; only those hadiths in which there is no doubt are taken into the aqida (belief of Muslims). In this article we will talk about the Quran in detail.

Quran: the main source of Islam

The Quran is the Word of Allah. The Lord, through the Angel Gabriel, peace be upon him, conveyed His Word to the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Subsequently, the Prophet (pbuh) read the Scripture of the Lord to the people, and they were able to accurately reproduce it in written form. The Koran is the main Book of a growing religion, a text that helps many generations of people who have come to know God live. The Koran instructed people, healed their souls, and protected them from vices and temptations. Before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), there were other prophets of the Lord, and before the Koran, the Lord transmitted the Divine Scripture to people. This is how people received the Torah, the Gospel, and the Psalter. The prophets were Jesus, Musa, Daoud (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all)

All these Scriptures are revelations of the Lord, but over the millennia much has been lost, and many texts have also been added to them that were not present in the original Message.

The miracle of the Koran in the uniqueness of man

The Koran differs from other basic texts of religions in the absence of any distortions. Allah made a promise to people that He will protect the Quran from corrections by people. Thus, the Lord of the worlds abolished the need for the Scriptures previously transmitted to people and designated the Qur'an as the main one among them. This is what the Lord said:

“We have sent down to you the Scripture with the truth in confirmation of the previous Scriptures, and so that it may rise above them” (5, Al-Maida: 48).

The Almighty Lord says in the Koran that the Scripture was given to explain to man everything that happens to him. “We have sent down to you the Scripture to clarify all things” (16, An-nahl:89).

In addition, the Lord gives humanity an indication of the path that will lead them to happiness and prosperity: this is indicated directly in the Koran.

Previous prophets of Allah performed miracles, but they ended after the death of the prophet. The Koran, like the miracle of the Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and greet him), continues to be an inimitable text that does not have the slightest distortion and is proof that Islam is the religion of truth.

Surprisingly, the texts of the Koran are built from the same letters as other written monuments, but over the centuries no one has been able to compose from these letters something equal to the Holy Scriptures in its power and meaning. Leading Arab sages, possessing incredible abilities in literature and oratory, declared their inability to write even one chapter similar to the text from the Koran.

"Or they say, 'He made it up.' Say: “Compose at least one surah similar to these, and call on whomever you can besides Allah, if you are telling the truth” (10. Yunus: 38).

There are many confirmations of the fact that the Qur'an comes directly from the Almighty Creator. For example, the sacred Book contains information that simply could not be known to humanity at that stage of its development. Thus, the Koran mentions nationalities whose existence at that time had not yet been discovered by geographers. The Qur'an contains many accurate predictions of events that occurred centuries after the Book was revealed to people. Many verses from the Koran were confirmed only in the 21st century, after sufficient development of science and technology.

Another most important evidence of the reliability of the Holy Book. Before the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of the One God), the Prophet had never spoken in such a style, never spoken to those around him in words even remotely reminiscent of the Qur'an. One of the verses clearly states this:

“Say (O Muhammad): “If Allah had willed, I would not have read it to you, and He would not have taught it to you. Before, I lived my whole life with you. Don’t you understand?” (10. Yunus: 16).

It must be taken into account that Muhammad (may God bless him and welcome him) was illiterate, never communicated with sages, and did not attend any educational institutions. In other words, before divine revelation, Muhammad was an ordinary person. This is what Allah said to the Prophet:

“You have never read any Scripture before or copied it with your right hand. Otherwise, the adherents of lies would fall into doubt" (29, Al-'ankabut: 48).

If Muhammad, peace and blessings of the Almighty be upon him, did not speak from the Lord himself, why would Jewish and Christian shepherds visit him with questions about faith and requests to explain to them incomprehensible places in their Scriptures. These people already knew from their divine Scriptures that an illiterate Messenger would come through whom the Scriptures would be transmitted.

Let us remember the words of Allah:

  • “Those who follow the messenger, the illiterate (cannot read or write) prophet, the record of which they will find in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injil (Gospel). He will command them to do what is good and forbid them to do what is reprehensible, He will declare good things permissible and bad things forbidden, and He will free them from burdens and fetters” (7, Al-a’raf: 157).

Among the contemporaries of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, there were people who asked him difficult questions, and the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wassallam) answered them with the words of the Lord of the Worlds.

  • “The People of the Book ask you to send down the Book from heaven to them” (4, Al-Nisa: 153), and also: “They will ask you about your soul” (17, Al-Isra: 85), and also: “They They ask you about Dhul-Qarnain" (18, Al-Kahf: 83).

The Messenger, peace be upon him, always used verses of the Koran in his answers and was always based on evidence. And knowledge of the words of the Lord helped him answer questions from representatives of other religions.

The Muslim Holy Book continues to inspire admiration. Recently, a well-known theologian, Abraham Phillips, published an essay that he devoted to finding inconsistencies in the Koran. According to Phillips, his goal was to expose the Koran. In the end, he admitted that there were no inconsistencies in the Book, that it was completely historical. Phillips stated that the Qur'an is unique and inimitable. Finally, heeding the call of the Book, he returned to Islam.

Scientist Jeffrey Lang from the USA once received an unexpected gift - an American edition of the Koran. Delving into Scripture, Lang suddenly felt that the word of God was addressed directly to him, that at the moment of reading he was speaking with the Almighty. The professor found in the Koran the answers to all the difficult questions that troubled him. The impression was incredibly strong; Lang stated that he, a world-famous scientist trained in modern institutions, does not know even a hundredth part of what is contained in the Koran.

Let us remember the words of the Lord of the Worlds:

“Will He who created this not know this, and yet He is the Perceptive, the Knowledgeable?” (67, Al-mulk: 14).

Reading the Koran shocked Lang and soon he announced his acceptance of Islam.

The Quran is a guide for life sent down from the One who created this life

The Great Book tells a person everything he needs to know. The Koran contains all the basic principles of human existence and talks about legal, religious, economic and moral standards of life.

There is also a clear indication in the Qur'an that God is One with different names. These names are listed in the Quran, as are the actions of the Lord.

The Koran talks about the truth of the teaching, contains a call to follow the Prophets, peace be upon them all. The book threatens sinners with the Day of Judgment for their unrighteous lives - the punishment of the Lord awaits them. The need to lead a righteous life is confirmed by specific examples. The Koran mentions troubles that befell entire nations, descriptions of the punishments awaiting sinners after death.

The Koran is also a collection of predictions and instructions that delight modern scientists. This is a system for life sent down from the One who created this life, this is a concept that no one could refute. Today, natural scientists confirm the things stated in the Quran with concrete discoveries in science.

Let us remember the words of the Almighty:

  • “He is the One who mixed two seas: one is pleasant, fresh, and the other is salty, bitter. He placed between them a barrier and an insurmountable obstacle” (25, Al-furqan: 53);
  • “Or they are like darkness in the depths of the sea. It is covered by a wave, above which there is another wave, above which there is a cloud. One darkness on top of another! If he stretches out his hand, he won't see it. To whom Allah has not given light, there will be no light for him” (24, An-nur: 40).

The large number of colorful marine descriptions in the Koran is another confirmation of the divine nature of the Book. After all, the Prophet Muhammad had not been on sea vessels and did not have the opportunity to swim at great depths - there were no technical means for this then. Where did he learn everything about the sea and its nature? Only the Lord could tell this to the Prophet, peace be upon him.

One cannot help but recall the words of the Almighty:

“Verily, We created man from the essence of clay. Then We placed it as a drop in a safe place. Then We created a blood clot from a drop, then We created a chewed piece from a blood clot, then we created bones from this piece, and then we covered the bones with meat. Then We raised him in another creation. Blessed be Allah, the Best of creators!” (23, Al-Mu'minun:12-14).

The described medical process - details of the step-by-step development of a baby in the mother's belly - is known only to modern scientists.

Or another amazing passage in the Koran:

“He has the keys to the hidden, and only He knows about them. He knows what is on land and in sea. Even a leaf falls only with His knowledge. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry, which is not in the clear Scripture" (6, Al-an'am: 59).

Such large-scale, detailed thinking is simply not accessible to humans! People do not have the necessary knowledge to monitor all the processes occurring in nature. When scientists discover a new species of plant or animal, it is a major scientific discovery that everyone admires. But the world still remains unknown, and only the Koran can explain these processes.

Professor from France M. Bucaille published a book in which he examined the Bible, Torah and Koran, taking into account modern scientific achievements and discoveries in the field of geography, medicine, and astronomy. It turned out that there is not a single contradiction to science in the Koran, but other Scriptures have serious discrepancies with modern scientific information.
