week of fundamentals of Orthodox culture

Leading Good afternoon, dear guests, guys! Today is a very joyful and festive day!?Because today the week of Orthodox culture starts at our school. This year it is dedicated to the role of the Bible in the modern world.

At first glance, it may seem that a book that is thousands of years old is unlikely to play a big role in the era of information technology. However, this is not at all true.

No matter how rapidly the world changes, the most important thing in it is not subject to change. Spiritual and moral values, the human soul striving for God - all this remains unchanged, no matter how many millennia pass. Therefore, the role of the Bible in the modern world is enormous, because it is from there that we draw our understanding of the moral laws and spiritual values that the Lord gave us.

Orthodox people are Christians.

A Christian is a person who has accepted the teachings of Jesus Christ.

And Jesus lived two thousand years ago...

There is a book that tells about how people waited for the birth of Christ, how He was born, how he lived and what He taught people. This book is called the Bible.

The word bible in ancient Greek is a common word and it means “books” (this is where the word library comes from). This book consists of 77 books.

The first and largest part of the Bible consists of 50 books. Together they are called the “Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament.”

The books of the Old Testament were written by prophets. It was believed that these were people who had a special gift - the ability to hear what God was telling them. Such a gift is called “prophecy,” and a person who has this gift from God is a prophet. Prophecy reveals to people God's view of the past, present and future.

The time of the Old Testament is a time of waiting for the coming of Christ.

It was through Jesus Christ who came into the world that the New Testament was given.

The life, words and deeds of Jesus Christ are described in those biblical books called the Gospel. Translated from Greek, gospel means “good news.”

The Gospel and other books of Christ's disciples constitute the “Holy Scripture of the New Testament.” 27 books of the New Testament were written by the first disciples of Jesus Christ - the apostles (the literal meaning of the word apostle is messenger).

Christians read the Bible both in church and at home. There are many parables in the Bible. In terms of plot, these seem to be everyday, everyday stories, but in each of them you need to find a moral lesson.

The Children's Bible is written in a more accessible form for children.

The basic component of public life is the spiritual and moral culture of society. Spiritual and moral education is the basic basis of the new Federal State Education Standards. Spiritual and moral culture is the foundation of education, the basis for personal self-improvement and social interaction, based on the principle of the unity of freedom and responsibility. Introducing to the values of Orthodox culture makes it possible to solve one of the urgent tasks of a modern school - the formation of a harmoniously developed citizen, a conscientious worker, a devoted family man and a patriot of the Fatherland.

Orthodoxy is an integral part of the history of the Russian people, the spiritual and moral core of Russian culture, and therefore no full knowledge of Russian culture and familiarization with it is possible without obtaining knowledge about Orthodoxy, the history and culture of the Russian Orthodox Church. Even people who are far from the Church, but who strive to know and understand well the history and culture of our Fatherland, cannot help but show interest in Orthodoxy, Orthodox culture, the history of Christianity, in those eternal moral values that it preserves and which are relevant in modern times. Our Russia was created by the labors and exploits of many generations of the Orthodox Russian people, and reliance on Orthodoxy, domestic traditions and culture makes it possible to form the correct guidelines for the educational process of the younger generation. Spiritual and moral education is one of the main directions in the work of our school.

As part of the subject Week of the Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture from January 14 to 18, a number of events were prepared in our school. The purpose of the subject week is to increase interest in Orthodox culture. Modern schoolchildren must become familiar with the culture and tradition that has existed in Russia for more than a thousand years. The Russian people have preserved in memory, in everyday life, in speech, in literature, art, music, in holidays and everyday life, many evidences of adherence to the Orthodox faith.

According to F.M. Dostoevsky, “Orthodoxy is the beginning of our morality and conscience, and therefore of social strength, science, everything.”

Holding a subject-based Week of the Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture in our school has become a good tradition; this year we held the Week of the Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture for the second time. The idea of the week: integration of spiritual and moral content into various areas of the educational process within the framework of the program of spiritual and moral education of schoolchildren. We tried to hold events in such a way as to reach the majority of the school's students. Events were planned taking into account the age characteristics of children; the forms of events were different and included different types of creative activities of schoolchildren.

The beginning of the Week was marked by a competition – an exhibition of drawings “The Beauty of God's World”. Love for the native land, for the native culture was reflected in this creative activity of the students. After all, M. Gorky said correctly: “The meaning of life is beauty.” The children's works, made using various types of technology, were presented at the exhibition. The works of Ivanova Alina 5A, Ershova Tatyana 5A, Yudina Varvara 5A, Filatova Daria 4B and Bublik Anastasia 4B attracted attention. Beautiful images of the Savior, made by Pavel Prokhorov 4B, became the decoration of the exhibition. The passion of students and teachers for artistic photography was reflected in the photo exhibition “Between Heaven and Earth.” The best photographs from students' and teachers' pilgrimage trips to holy places were selected for the exhibition.

Nurturing spirituality, a moral attitude to life, developing artistic taste, and comprehensively introducing a child to the world of art are the most important tasks of art pedagogy. The study of the history of our Motherland, our region is closely connected with Orthodox traditions. The entertainment and game program “Vasil’s Day” as part of the Week was aimed at revealing the historically established traditions of folk life.

Winter Christmastide is a period of time dedicated to the winter solstice, which opened the people's solar year. Christmastide lasted twelve days (according to the number of months of the year), from the Nativity of Christ to the Epiphany, and included Vasily’s Day. Christmastide was celebrated throughout Russia and was considered a youth holiday. Galina Fedorovna Chernyshova held such a holiday for 6th grade students in the house of folk art in a bright and cheerful, filled with games. The children took part in games and performed various rituals. Christmastide was full of various kinds of rituals, magical actions, and fortune telling. With their help, they tried to ensure well-being for the whole year, find out their fate, and protect themselves from evil spirits.

Fortune telling is actions aimed at obtaining knowledge about the future. In the Russian tradition, fortune telling was timed to coincide with turning points in the folk calendar, primarily at Christmastide, associated with the winter solstice and the onset of a new solar year. The desire to know the future during this particular period of time was explained by the fact that the new year opens a new stage in people’s lives, and its first days determine the destinies of people. The guys made a wish “It will come true or not,” guessed the name of their “betrothed” or “betrothed” and just had fun.

But still, fortune telling is considered a sinful act, after which purification with holy water, confession and communion are required.

The essay competition “My Favorite Holiday” was interesting, in which students from grades 3B, 4B, 5A took part. The most active were the students of grade 3B. In a fascinating way, the children talked about the holidays that are especially revered in their families. The winners of this competition were Veronika Andreeva 3B, Ershov Semyon 4B and Ershova Tatyana 5A.

Our school cooperates with the Russian Orthodox Church in the person of the rector of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and therefore the children were looking forward to meeting Father Dimitri. The children listened with interest to the story about the structure of the church, about the feast of the Nativity of Christ and the upcoming feast of Epiphany. All the children were interested in the image of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God and the icon of St. Neil of Stolobensky. With what reverence the children listened to Father Dimitri! For many of them, this is their first visit to the temple. Father Dimitri spoke about the norms of behavior in the church, etiquette, respect for Orthodox culture and its shrines. The meeting took place in a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. The guys thanked the priest and asked him to take a photo with him as a souvenir.

It should be noted that both in modern society and in our region there is a very ambiguous attitude towards the subject of the military-industrial complex, militant atheism has not been eradicated from people’s consciousness, but “the time to collect stones” has already come,Only good knowledge of one's religion results in the creation of an environment of tolerance in society. This goal is more relevant now than ever.

Lessons of mercy are the theme of the fourth day of the OPK subject week.

“For everything, Lord, I thank you!” This was the name of the lesson in which students from grades 4A, 4B, 5A, 6 and 9A took part.

The children listened with interest to parables performed by Orthodox singer Svetlana Kopylova. The story about the life of Grigory Zhuravlev brought admiration and at the same time tears to everyone’s eyes.

Many of you have already heard the song - the parable of Svetlana Kopylova about a man who from birth “had neither arms nor legs, he himself could neither eat nor drink, he was a piece of a man, that’s how God created him...” It turns out behind this The parable was a real person, whose life and its meaning cannot be described in one song.

In 2013, it will be 155 years since the birth of the remarkable icon painter Grigory Zhuravlev, an armless and legless artist from the village of Utevka, Samara province.

His name became widely known in Russia and abroad after an icon was discovered in Yugoslavia in the Serbian Orthodox Church in 1963, on which was written in Russian: “This icon was written in the Samara province, Buzuluk district, Utevsk volost of the same village with the teeth of the peasant Grigory Zhuravlev, armless and legless, 1885, July 2.”

Grigory Zhuravlev was born into a large peasant family in the village of Utevka, near Samara in 1858. The parents were shocked when they saw that the baby was crippled. He had no arms or legs. The mother was crying, the father was gloomy, the neighbors were whispering: “I’m offended by God.”

Time passed, and the boy, despite his injury, grew up cheerful and inquisitive. “God has looked upon His servant” - this is what the residents of Utevka said. The crippled child evoked not so much pity as surprise: crawling around the yard, he took a twig in his teeth and spent a long time drawing people, houses, and animals in the sand. Yes, he did it so cleverly - it’s a sight to behold.

It turned out that Grisha was not offended by God, but was especially noted for his talent.

When the boy grew up, his grandfather began taking him to school. He learned to write by holding a pen in his teeth. And his handwriting was very good. Fellow villagers flocked to Gregory’s house asking them to write letters to their relatives. God helped him in his studies, and in everyday life - his elder brother Athanasius.

Gregory began to independently study drawing, human anatomy, painting, and iconography. And later he began to paint icons.

In 1885, construction of a new church began in Utevka. This temple has survived to this day.

The church in honor of the Holy Trinity was built according to the drawings and under the leadership of Grigory Zhuravlev. The artist painted the ten-meter-diameter dome of the temple himself. He lay down in a special cradle and worked while lying down. After two or three hours of such work, a spasm of the jaw muscles occurred so that Grisha could not remove his hand from his mouth. He was able to open his mouth only after wet hot towels were placed on his cheekbones. And so day after day, month after month, year after year. Only in 1892 the work was completed.

It was a feat...

The icons he painted were valued by the people because special grace and purity emanated from them; they were considered not made by hands: without God’s help, a person without arms and without legs, holding a brush in his teeth, could not work like that.

In the icons of Grigory Zhuravlev there is silence, peace and tranquility, they call for true repentance, which is so necessary for us...

Our entire world is permeated with the love of God, and God loves and protects every person living on earth. Let's not forget about this, and let's be grateful for everything, for the beautiful world that surrounds us, and even for life's difficulties, because they force us to work on ourselves, which means to improve and become better, brighter.

10th grade students took part in the lesson “Russian soldier Evgeniy Rodionov.” This is a story about a private in the Russian army, a defender of the Fatherland and a hero of our time, killed in captivity during the Chechen war.

They promised to save Yevgeny’s life if he converted to Islam and took up arms against Russian federal forces. He only needed to symbolically take off the silver cross that he had worn around his neck since he was 11 years old and accept a different faith. Eugene refused and chose death.

Seventeen years have passed since the death of Private Yevgeny Rodionov and his military friends, but the memory lives on. 160 icons were painted for the warrior-martyr Eugene, and his icons appeared in 26 churches in Russia.

People come to his grave from the Volga region, St. Petersburg, Chuvashia, Ukraine, and from abroad.
Soldiers love him, they ask for his help in Chechnya, in prisons and where it is difficult. They know about him in America, Japan, Germany. In Serbia he is called Saint Eugene the Russian. He is revered everywhere.

On the last day of the OPK subject week, 6th grade students took part in a large program that was prepared for us by the employees of the local history museum, Elena Aleksandrovna Zakharova and Svetlana Vasilievna Isaeva.

“Churches of the Malovishersky District” - a conversation held with the children by local historian Vyacheslav Gerasimov. The guys learned a lot of new and interesting things about our church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the Church of the Nativity in Gorneshno and the Church of the Assumption in the village of Bor at Mstinsky Most station.

Surprise, admiration, delight! We experienced such feelings when we visited the “Family Art – Vernissage” exhibition of the Sorokin family. The picturesque canvases of Viktor Ivanovich Sorokin attracted the eye just like his works made of birch bark. Vadim Sorokin’s graphics are incomprehensible at first glance, but no less interesting, they also interested us. And his story “Kuanysh - Charlie” was read, as they say, with tears in their eyes. Galina Mikhailovna’s unique works were full of bright, cheerful colors. Even when Galina Mikhailovna was working at school, she tried to involve us teachers in making flowers from materials. But apparently not everyone is given this gift - the gift of creating beauty! Galina Mikhailovna! A low bow to you and your family for the pure and joyful thing that you gave to all of us!

The subject week on the defense industrial complex ended with an award. All participants of the week received thanks, and participants All-Russian Olympiad on the Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture school tour received certificates and diplomas.

I would like to thank Ekaterina Dmitrieva and Alena Stepanova, 6th grade, Nika Bogacheva, 10th grade, and Anna Vasilyeva, 11th grade, for their help in preparing and holding the events.

Thank you for your help: Galina Ivanovna Nyatyanen, Tatyana Olegovna Ozerina, Tatyana Ivanovna Lebedeva, Ekaterina Georgievna Ivanova and Oksana Nikolaevna Andreeva.

The guys became interested in Orthodox culture, it’s a pity that there is no such subject in the middle and senior levels.

This confirms that the work that is being done at school within the framework of spiritual and moral education based on Orthodox traditions is not in vain. And the main result is yet to come.

F.M. said correctly. Dostoevsky: “This is why a great moral thought is strong, this is why it unites people into the strongest union, that it is not measured by immediate benefit, but strives them into the future, towards eternal goals, towards absolute joy.”

Closing scenario of the Week of Orthodox Culture - 2017

Leading: Good afternoon The fifth Week of Orthodox Culture has come to an end, and it’s time to sum up the results.

Leading: What was she like? What new have we learned? What remains in our souls?

Leading: Do we always act according to our conscience, do we always keep the Laws of God?

Leading: the poem “How often do we offend each other...” read by Statnaya Anastasia, 8th grade student

How often do we offend each other?
Yes, we walk through our hearts with our boots.
And getting irritated, we humiliate our friend,
We forgot that we won’t live here forever.

The day will come, the soul will fly like a bird.
And rushes into holiness, into heaven.
And only one will not instantly become a firebird,
A cruel and rude soul.

There are people who live easily, freely,
Bringing joy and a smile to everyone.
Others try to hurt
And they are unhappy with everything, literally everything.

Come to your senses, where are you all going?
Hurry up to live the moment faster,
Why do you live by hoarding?
Your whole life will fly by aimlessly.

The day will come when we will appear before God.
And a beggar here, there will suddenly become rich.
Keep all your wealth at your doorstep.
After all, you can’t take a penny there.

Leading:

A life worthy of a person is a life built on goodness. Every day life gives us a chance to be a worthy, kind person:

Leading:

Protect your lips with silence,
Try to hold your tongue
Because obviously or by chance
He is used to pushing people into sin.
Leading:

He causes quarrels in the family,
And you lose peace among your friends.
Disputes arise at work
From the intemperance of people.

Leading:
Will you live poor or rich -
Thank you Lord for everything
And keep silence like gold
Talk less and talk less.

Leading:

And when you want to say a word,
Think with your head, don’t rush,
If you have it ready,
Say it from your heart and soul.

Leading:

So as not to give away secrets with your tongue
And keep the secrets of your neighbors,
Better stick it to your larynx
And say a prayer to God.
Leading:

Leading:

And the Creator Almighty is not accidental
He gave people a word for communication.
To avoid sinning, remain silent
Few people suffered from it.

Leading:

You can only disarm with kindness,

it is like a miracle that is given to us from above.

She, like an Angel, walks with you,

she is knocking on your heart, do you hear?

Leading: the poem “I thought it was a firefly” is read by 8th grade student Elizaveta Ponomareva

I thought it was a firefly
And when I looked closer, it turned out to be an Angel!
He landed on my shoulder
He closed his eyes and froze without moving.

And I was afraid to flinch and blink,
And she even slowed down her breathing a little,
So as not to alarm, not to frighten
Such an unreal creation.

A moment passed - he opened his eyes,
I straightened the golden-haired ring,
And quietly said to me goodbye:
“I’ll put in a good word for you there.”

And flew out the open window.
And only a draft barely audibly slammed the door.
And it all seemed like a dream to me,
But for some reason I really wanted to believe...

I peered into the darkness for a long time,
Through the clouds intermittent threads,
And yet I saw... a star,
He has arrived, my little Guardian...

SKETCH: “ANGEL and child” (An angel sits on a bench, a child approaches)

Child- What is this in your hand?

Angel - Happiness.
- Why so small?
- It's only mine. But how radiant and beautiful!

Child:

Our task is so simple:

Give kindness from heart to heart

And quickly into your heart

Kindly open the door!

Leading: The song “About Kindness” is performed by 4th grade student Ksenia Mukhanova

Song about good (Ksenia Mukhanova)

In this huge world in which you and I live,
There is not enough warmth, there is not enough human kindness.
Let's learn together to take care of each other and love each other,
Together we will learn to shine on each other like stars.

CHORUS: In spring the water will rustle,
In winter the winds will sing.
Come on, Friends, always
Wish each other well!

Let us not be graded at school for the generosity of our Souls,
Just take it one day and do Good,
And then in the cold there will be a nagging smell of spring,
And then there will be more than one smile on Earth!

Hundreds of roads await us, but everyone will have their own,
And, of course, Friends will help you get to your goal.
So that our long-time dreams come true soon,
Let the lesson of Kindness always be the main lesson!

Leading: the poem “Soul” is read by 8th grade student Ivan Makarov

At the crossroads the soul got lost,
Lost hope, laughing and sinning.
The soul languished, suffered, languished;
She came to Golgotha, breathing wearily.

At the Cross, out of powerlessness, the soul prayed:
“I’m lost, tired, confused!
The soul shuddered with pain, the soul grieved -
Where can I find salvation, who will console me?

At the Holy Cross joy came to the soul
The mercy of God forgave and brought peace.
The soul greedily fell to the Living Word,
The reborn woman moved slowly through life.

Leading:

God has given us a soul - this is our little temple.
Look there quickly: is it clean today?

Maybe envy has started, lies and laziness are lurking,
Or is there something else that has been living in it for more than a day?
Put things in order in the temple of your soul!
Go through life only with a pure soul, friend!

Leading: The floor to sum up the results is given to the rector of the St. George Church in the village of Maley, Archpriest Fr. Alexey Kalinin.

Leading: We thank everyone who took part in the Week of Orthodox Culture. And we wish everyone that peace and goodness will settle in our souls. May every day bring us joy and satisfaction.

Leading: We wish everyone new creative success. This concludes our line. Thanks everyone for your attention.

The Week of Orthodox Culture in the Ratchinsky branch of the MBOU Secondary School in the village of Krutoye, Dobrovsky district, took place in accordance with the prepared plan and traditionally began with the opening line. The guys got acquainted with the events that will take place as part of the Week. At the meeting they spoke about the need to hold the Week of Orthodox Culture, about cooperation with the clergy in educating the younger generation, about eternal values, good and evil, about personal and public good.

Librarian Epifantseva N.A. prepared an exhibition of books on Orthodox culture, Orthodox holidays and introduced children to their content. The exhibition was on throughout the Week.

There was also an exhibition of students’ drawings “My Favorite Orthodox Holiday”, where thematic competition works were displayed. It is important to note that children associate holidays with family and family traditions - the content of many of the drawings is dedicated to this topic.

On the first day, a class hour was held in the form of a round table in the 9th grade on the topic “Orthodox holiday. Baptism of the Lord.” The guys talked about the baptism of the Savior, the baptism of Rus', the sacrament of human baptism, forming a multifaceted image of events associated with such a concept in Christian history as Baptism.

“The more you are rich, the more you are happy,” was the theme of the 4th grade event that took place on Tuesday. Poems and games, stories about the traditions of their family helped the children not only expand their knowledge about the Orthodox traditions of the Russian people, but also form the values of family relationships and interest in the history of their family.

In the 6th grade we had a conversation on the topic “The Baptism of the Lord.” Together with the class teacher S.I. Okunev. The children learned about the history and traditions of the holiday, developed their vocal and artistic abilities.

The middle of the week turned out to be busy. “The role of Orthodox traditions in raising children and strengthening families” was the theme of the meeting between the branch teachers and the rector of the local church, Father Onisim Osmanov. It is traditions that act as a factor in regulating people’s life activities; this is the basis for raising children. Raising a child begins with the relationships that reign in the family between parents. Children are raised not only by their parents as such, but also by the family life that develops. You can become involved in family traditions through the personal example of the parents themselves.

On the same day, an open lesson was held on the Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture in the 4th grade on the topic “Christian Holidays.” The lesson began with the festive ringing of bells, which the children recognized and understood that the lesson would be about holidays. During the lesson, the children compiled a calendar of Orthodox holidays and noted the characteristics of each of them.

Students from grades 4-8 took part in the quiz “Experts of the Traditions of Orthodox Holidays.” The students were divided into two teams of different ages, where they presented a business card and answered questions from the game. The main goal was to show the level of knowledge of Orthodox culture.

At the end of the lessons, Father Onisim came to the children again, outside the main plan, to continue the conversation: “What is the essence of Christianity?” We hope that the authoritative judgment of Father Onesimus has convinced many that the spirituality that we talk a lot about is impossible in isolation from the spiritual root, which in Russia is Orthodoxy. The meeting was interesting and informative: the guys not only listened to the priest, but also asked questions that interested them.

On Thursday, in the form of a conference, a class hour was held in the 8th grade on the topic “Orthodox Rus': holidays and rituals,” at which one of the speakers was the rector of our church, Father Onisim. The guys prepared messages about the twelve Orthodox holidays and shared their material with classmates.

On the eve of the Week, children in grades 5 and 7 were given the task of preparing a project “The Patronal Feasts of Our Region.” His defense took place within the framework of the Week. During the preparatory work and defense of the project, the children became acquainted not only with patronal holidays and Orthodox traditions, but also with the history of the churches in our region, and showed the role of the holiday in human life.

In the form of a conversation with a quiz and game elements, a class hour “The Bright Holiday - Christmas” was held among students in grades 2 and 3. The children got acquainted with the events associated with the holiday of the Nativity of Christ.

The event promoted children's interest in studying the history of Orthodox culture and fostered a respectful attitude towards Orthodox traditions and national culture. It turned out to be a real mini-holiday.

Together with the heroes of fairy tales, the youngest children went on a journey to get acquainted with the concepts of mercy, kindness and good deeds at their class hour “On the Path of Good”.

The closing of the Week of Orthodox Culture took place on Friday. The work of the entire Week was summed up. The children were awarded certificates and small souvenirs. Our main conclusion: traditional Orthodox holidays delight the heart and soul with their beauty, good thoughts, unity of people, ignite in people the desire to help their neighbors, give them joy and love. By studying Orthodox holidays and taking part in them, children become familiar with Christian culture.

Teacher's opening speech . In the Russian village, all holidays were included in a single multi-stage sequence. They coped from year to year, from century to century, in a certain order established by tradition. Russian holidays also differed in their origin. Established Orthodox dogmas included Easter with the twelve, that is, twelve holidays in honor of Jesus Christ and the Mother of God, and temple holidays - local holidays celebrated on the days of the consecration of churches or on the days of remembrance of significant events in the life of the saints in whose honor the churches were built.

Today we will talk about some holidays and make a calendar. And what holidays we will talk about will be shown by 1 competition.

Christmas - the great day of the entire Christian world - has long been accompanied by colorful folk customs. In many countries, as in Russia, it was considered one of the main family holidays. The Nativity of Christ merged with the ancient Slavic rite - Christmastide. Christmas rituals over time turned into Christmas rituals in modern Russia. Christmas became an official holiday in 1991, when January 7 became a non-working day. After Great Christmas, Christmastide begins - two weeks before Epiphany. On these days, mummers walked from house to house with carols or stopped under the windows and glorified the born Christ, and also wished goodness and prosperity to everyone.

Poetry

Christmas.

On this bright holiday -

Christmas holiday

We'll tell each other

Nice words.

The snow falls quietly:

It's winter outside,

A miracle will happen here

And will set hearts on fire.

Let your smiles

On this wonderful day

They will be our happiness

And a gift to everyone.

The sounds of life flow

Happiness and goodness,

Illuminating thoughts

With the light of Christmas.

Baptism.

There is an important holiday of the Christian people,

And families will serve kutya on the table on his eve.

When Jesus Christ was baptized in the waters of the Jordan,

The Holy Spirit descended to him in the form of a dove.

Since then, the great day of Christ is Baptism!

Plain water will become holy on this day.

She brings healing to the sick,

And in any home there is order and peace.

Palm Sunday.

A. Blok

Boys and girls

Candles and willows

They took it home.

The lights are warm,

Passers-by cross themselves

And it smells like spring.

The breeze is distant,

Rain, little rain,

Don't blow out the fire!

Palm Sunday

Tomorrow I'll be the first to get up

For a bright day.

Easter.

Bright Resurrection of Christ.

The ringing of bells flies from heaven,

And hymns to the glory of God,

Rejoicing - "Christ is risen!"

On this holiday I give you an Easter egg.

Congratulations that Christ has risen!

Our discord is a random phenomenon,

On the Bright Holiday, his trace disappeared.

There is no offensive languor in the soul,

And love rose again, like Christ.

Our reconciliation is inevitable!

Christ brought us hope again.

Trinity.

Across wide green fields,

Like spring floods,

Singing, ringing, they fly

Bell sounds.

Like the beauties of sleepy dreams,

That the milky morning faded,

In the lacy greens of birches

The churches turn white with pure light.

The entire pulpit is lined with herbs,

The spirit of spring will not hide anywhere.

Coming from all sides

The holiday is pure, the holy day of the Trinity.

Church choir in raptures

Sings a little out of tune.

All the kinder bells are ringing,

And my heart is calm with prayer.

Epiphany - Christian holiday celebrated in honor of the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. On the eve or on the day of the Feast of the Epiphany, many believers go to reservoirs or ice holes cut out in advance at churches. The priest performs the rite of illuminating the water: he says prayers and immerses the cross in the water three times. Anyone who wishes can immerse themselves in water three times with the prayer: “In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” and by this action the soul and body of a person are sanctified.Contest. Water

Now the teams will also have to deal with water. The whole team takes part in the competition.

At one end of the hall there are 5 glasses, on the other side there is a plate of water. The children should take turns carrying water from the plate into the glasses with a spoon. The competition continues as long as the music continues. The team that carries the most water wins.

Palm Sundayor the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem - the twelfth feast of the church calendar. Palm Sunday does not have a fixed date - it is celebrated a week before Easter. According to the Bible story, on this day Jesus rode into the gates of Jerusalem on a donkey. He was solemnly greeted by the townspeople and threw palm branches at their feet - a symbol of peace and tranquility... This is probably why this holiday is very clean, bright and joyful.

No matter what date Palm Sunday falls on, it is always a spring holiday. The first tree to bloom in spring is the willow. Therefore, in Rus', the palm branch was replaced with willow branches. On this day you can see people carrying willow branches in their hands, lighting them in the church, decorating their home with them, giving them to each other and always keeping them near the icon all year round. There was a custom among the people to lightly hit their relatives and friends with twigs. It was believed that this would protect against illness and the evil eye.

Palm Sunday signifies the recognition of the existence of Jesus Christ, the victory of faith. The entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem is a symbol of man's entry into heaven. The holiday anticipates Easter, although believers still face the strictest week of Lent.
